Constant Hibernating?

Hi my VGN-FJ1Z/W keeps hibernating everytime i move it from a flat surface, the screen will also flicker alot. I noticed a few weeks before this happened that when my laptop was shutdown it would still make a sound as if the fan was on. Could it be overheated?

Could it be overheated?

To check this theory out download MobileMeter and let us know the temterature reported for the CPU.

Hi, my temeperature reads at 51C. is this normal?

51C is fine, so overheating is not the problem.

If the computer is still in warranty I suggest that you open a case with Sony Support as this would seem to be a hardware problem of some sort.
