I've got a new tv, KDL-40R470A and a1Tb WD external HDD. The idea was to have full hd movies on HDD and watch them on tv. The issue seems to be the HDD formatting: it seems that the Sony tv can recognize only FAT32 formatted usb devices (not exFAT or NTFS). That means I cannot have files larger than 4Gb on my WD HDD and most of my movies have more that 4Gb. Does anyone have a solution for this? Does KDL-40R470A Sony tv recognize any other formats than FAT32?! Is there any way of watching large movies file (>4GB) using my new sony tv and WD HDD?
Thank you!
