Internet access failed

Internet access failed.  Cable connection ok.   Unplugging the same cable from the tv and putting it into my laptop works fine.

I've followed all the sony recommended trouble shooting tips including power cycles of all devices and factory reset of the tv.

Network setup status shows IP address to Auto.  IP address Subnet mask Default gateway Primary DNS all correct.

Baffled.  Any inspiration anyone?

Hi Richard,

Maybe some settings are not correct on router side. Have you tried to set up the connection manually?

Peter, no I haven't but by pressing status on the network setup page I can see the ip addresses that have been auto entered on the tv. They look correct to me and so I ha (continued below)vnt tried manual. (Image attached)

 Switching the network cable from TV to laptop, internet = fine.  Image of laptop IP settings also attached. Can anyone spot the problem?  It's a Huawei b535 router.

I've just connected the tv by cable to a different router and it's fine.  So it's a setting on the huawei b535 wifi router.  Any ideas anyone?

Thanks Win_88, it did need the update but having done it - sadly no change.

I strongly suspect it's something to do with the Huawei router and I think I've had enough of it.

Back to Draytek for me.
