How do you reset the password to factory default on a Sony TV?

I have a Sony TV (FWD-50PX3) I can browse to it via the PC Web Browser 

but the setup is password protected. according to the manual username and password 

should be root and pudadm. I have tried using the remote to reset to default but that

does not help.

Any ideas on what to try to get a factory reset would be welcome.
