External Storage for Sony W6 with USB Port

Have purchased a KWL-42653 Smart TV which has an external USB Socket which can be used for Pausing and Recording TV Programmes.

Can I use any External Hard Drive which are normally sold as a Backup for Computers - such as a Toshiba 2TB EXternal Hard Drive

Hi there

Yep, a 2TB HDD should work.  Baring in mind that the HDD will be dedicated to the TV only, therefore cannot playback on a PC.  It is generally preferred using a Western Digital brand.  Also ensure that it has its own dedicated power supply (ie not just drawing power from the USB port).
