Hello. My Xperia was working perfectly well then I just turned it off then on again. Since I did it today, it shows lots of messages like (They are in portuguese, I don't know how they would be in english, just tried to translate) "Xperia home has stopped", "Calendar Storage has stopped", "Google Play Services has stopped","android.process.acore has stopped", then I press ok and another message appears and then it goes ever and ever and I can even do anything on the cellphone. I tried to restart in safe mode but the messages still stand there. Then I tried to backup the files from the cellphone to do a repair, but I can't acess the files trough windows explorer no more, and I tried backup trough PC Companiom but with no success as well. Then I just decided to took drastical measures and tried to use Update Service and overwrite my files, but Update Service doesn't recognize my phone and I tried so many times, It just doesn't recognize..........
So, any suggestions?

Sounds quite strange.
Have you tried to hold down the volume down button during the time you start the phone to get it in safe mode?
You should be able to reinstall the phone software using SUS (Update Service) since the phone shall be turned off when you do this. Try to remove the battery for a while and then try again. Also connect it to another USB port. Perhaps you can use another USB cable.
If you still experience problem I suggest that you try on another PC.
Actually I just can't enter safemode, I tried all possible ways but safemode just doesn't operate.
How did you try to enter safe mode?

Thanks, now I can enter the safemode, I tried enter by pressing power and volume down at the sametime, but know I know that just have to press volume down while the system starts, but the problem still stood there . Now I got the installation of the system again using SUS( In Brazil it means something that doesn't work most of time rsrsr). I lost all my configs and apps, I couldn't make a backup.
Thanks again.
I upgraded my xperia u to 4.0...the face unlocking app was wokring...but when I reset my mobile the option for face lock is not showing in the security...plz tell me what to do to get rid of this problem...I'll be very thankfull to you..
Go to settings-apps-all-face unlock, see if you can find it.
Check if you have any app under device administrators. Go to settings > security > device administrators.
