Hi!
I finally decided to update my Xperia P phone to JellyBean (6.2.A.1.100).
Everything went fine and as the PC companion told I turned on my phone after the update.
The problem is the phone is stuck now at booting with that flashy colourful image moving on
the screen and nothing happening.
I've read someone had this problem and they recommended him to connect the phone to PC
companion and try repairing it with that. The problem is PC Companion is NOT recognizing my
phone now after I connect it with USB.
So what should I do now? I have not yet tried to do any resets (I've looked up how hard reset
is done with holding volume button and everything.., but don't want to do it yet, and I didn't try to
take out the battery...)
Any help would be appreciated.

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Unfortunately it's the same problem with the update service program, its just waiting
for the USB connection and wont recognize it (funny is that my pc recognizes that I connected
sth with USB).
Maybe I should turn off the phone somehow, because until its stuck with this booting process I think
the programs wont be able to do anything.
But how to switch it off? It wont let me do it with the button.
Hold volume up and power untill you feel 3 vibrations one after the other - Not one on it's own 3 will come soon after
After I posted I managed to find this method, but thanks anyway
Now I'm charging the battery a bit, cause I don't know how much % it is, after
that I will try the repair with the PC Companion.
Unfortunately I was an idiot and didn't make a backup, even though I was thinking about it before the update...
Is It 100% that the files on the phone memory will disappear?
And also after this repair the phone will be fully updated or again with ICS?
The repair will factory reset the device ie: As if you just bought and turned it on - The firmware will be the latest available so if it's ICS then that's what it will be and the same goes for JB - But this depends on country and network - But if you were upgrading to JB when your issue occured then JB is what will be installed
The phone works now, thanks for the quick help!
Glad to help and glad your sorted
