e-mails

I allowed e-mails to accummulate on my X10 assuming I would be able to remove them en masse. Now it appears the only way is checking each one individually and deleting it. With hundreds, if not thousands, of e-mails this would take me an age. Is there a quicker way?

the preloaded android email, it's basic, the reason I think google did this is for users to explore the myriad possibilities on the market
