PLAYING MP4 FILES ON BDP S7200

I HAVE TRANSFERRED MY DVD COLLECTION TO WD MY CLOUD USING MP4 FORMAT VIA MY DESKTOP

ALTHOUGH THE BLU RAY PLAYER IS SEEING THEM IT WILL NOT PLAY THEM

Hi,

I have the S6200 and it plays MP4 from WD USB drives no problem. But MP4 is only a container, the codec used is important. Make sure the video is encoded in H.264, then it should work. H.265 is not supported yet on those players.

Another common mistake which is easy made is to select playback of the MP4 from the wrong menu. Your WD will show up under the Photos Menu, Music Menu and Video Menu, I once made the mistake of being in the Music Menu when I tried to play an MP4 video, consequently the player said it couldn't play that file. 

You must be in the Video Menu to playback video content from your WD.
