BDP-S550 (No Disc)
I finished a disc, put next disc in and "No Disc" comes on the display. Reset, still the same. Disc plays on PlayStation. Any ideas?

Mount the first disc again, the one that played.
Does it still play?

See if it will play a CD or a DVD, as these are less demanding, and then try again with a BluRay disc.
If still no go, maybe try one of these?

Ordered, worth a try. Looking at reviews of current available players, seem to have very mixed and not great reviews.
To be honest, I am finding less to watch from all sources. If my TV packed in tomorrow, do not think I would replace it. Tired of being preached at, all programs/channels/suppliers seem to have an agenda these days.

Hi @avnuts
My apologies for asking the obvious, but you have tried power rebooting the Blu-ray player?

All the effort these days is going into the UHD players. But any modern player will blow the socks off your early 2008 player.
Have you got a UHD TV? If so, Dune in UHD on a modern UHD player should disperse your ennui.

I was thinking of upgrading last year. I kept a note of what I was watching and rating it. Found I was watching by far old material that in most cases have seen many times. Very little of the modern material interests me these days, when I do try a new release, I seldom watch to the end of the program/series. I now find most new material to be more interested in rewriting history or point of view change. I am not interested in professional sport anymore, re the wages of professional players is obscene and I will not fund them. The heyday of TV/film has passed. I am loath to spend on new equipment as programming is dire. Equipment is improving but there is virtually nothing for me to watch.
