Perhaps I've overlooked a setting, but after taking a shot, the image is displayed for only about 2 seconds, not really enough time to decide if it was OK, or if I should re-shoot. Is there a means of having the image display for longer? Say 5 sconds? Thanks if anyone can help.

Hi there, welcome to the Sony Forums
I may be wrong (don't have an HX9V here to check) but I don't think you can change this, unfortunately. It's a feature on Alpha cameras but I don't think the compacts support it.
Hitting the Playback button might by the best way of prolonged reviewing.
Cheers

On DSC-HX9 (and other cybershot) It is not possible to set the instant review time to a longer period. Use the playback mode to review and delete unwanted images.
