I have a sony handycam DCR-TRV270E, but have lost the cd-rom picture package what else can i do to make it connect to my laptop or computer?

You could try asking Sony customer services for a CD-ROM number; you'll find their phone number in this post: https://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/message/651957#651957

Failing that, the camera should work equally well with Windows Movie maker. If you don't already have it, you can download it here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-NZ/windows7/products/features/movie-maker
