how can i download video from my handycam DCR-HC45e to my acer aspire with windows 7 ?????

Hi Lee, welcome to the Sony Forums

You should have Sony PMB software supplied with your camera. Once it's installed on your PC, you connect the camera and launch PMB to transfer videos.

If you're new to this sort of thing, Sony have a series of videos which explain everything in a step-by-step way:
