I just became the owner of a used HDR TG7VE. This is a really basic question but it would be nice to know what's going on
The unit charges normally and the charge light goes out. According to the instructions the charge light should not go on when the unit is powered up out of the cradle (i.e. not connected to any external supply), but this one does. I cannot see any reference to this in the manual and there is nothing in there either to tell me if the unit is trying to let me know there is some kind of problem.
