HHandycam HDC-HC19E and iMac and I want to capture all my tapes in imovie to edit them and than put them onto DVD. I cannot find the picturepackage cd that came with the camcorder. Do I need software? can I down load it? any other suggestions? any help would be great.

Hi Barrie, welcome to the Sony Forums
You don't need any special software. Just launch iMovie (from the Dock or the Applications folder) connect your camera to the iMac's firewire port and switch it on.
Make sure the camera's in Play/Edit mode, click the camera icon that appears in iMovie and you should be able to view your movies by pressing 'Play' either on the camera or in iMovie.
Once edited, use iMovie's 'Share' menu to access iDVD and burn your movie to playable DVD.

One more question what firewire cable would I need I have a 4pin to 4 pin that I used on my old PC will this work or do i need a different one for the mac.
