Hi,
I have an issue where my TV, especially on HDMI inputs starts shifting the picture slightly to the right or the left. I understand this has to do with the pixel shift function which is supposed to reduce image retention. This is really annoying, and I tried turning off the pixel shift function. However, it doesn't seem to help. I was watching a movie the other night and the same thing still happened. What else could be causing this issue and is there a permanent fix?
Thanks
Hi,
Is it only happening once, when you start using the input or is it happening all the time in intervals?
If it happens only once it might be related to the content so the picture is synced and alingneds with the screen.
If it happens all the time it's related to the pixel shift function.
Cheers
Peter
Hi Peter,
Thanks for you reply. It is happening in intervals. When I switch to the HDMI input all is good. When I start watching something, I notice at some point (can be between 20 minutes to an hour) that the picture has slightly shifted. As said, I turned off the pixel *****ft function, so I wonder why it keeps doing this?
Given how this helps prevent potential permanent damage to the panel, I can't help but wonder how bad can it be to see the pixel shift in action once every 20 minutes? I don't have an OLED but I would very much welcome such a thing since it's very much justified.
