Hi all - thanks for all the informative information I have found on this community site.
I have recently purchased the above tv and I am using it with a (UK) BT Ultra HD package. The output of the box is 2160p50 and I have set it to 10 bit colour.
Generally speaking I am very happy with the telly but I am experiencing a bug which sounds similar to the "Screen Format: Full" issue reported on another thread.
After a period of watching TV (normally longer extended periods of say 2 hours), the picture starts to judder and the "Screen Format: Full" message flicks on and off. The only way to recover this is to switch the telly off and on again which seems to allow the telly to "resync". This problem happens *every* day when watching TV at least once.
It is not a problem with the BT box as when I switch that on and off the picture problem does not clear.
I have tried different 4K related settings on the telly / BT box but the problem still occurs. Has anyone else noticed this with the TV ?
Thanks,
Ian

So was this supposed to be availabe today (29th) or tomorrow (30th)? And when are we going to get a 'normal' firmware update to add / improve things e.g. the OS in particular?

Yes I cant wait for a firmware update either, my TV has started randomly switching itself on again even after a reboot.
I dont dare use any of the TV's smart features because when I do it soon becomes unstable, great shame that a good TV is blighted by a useless implementation of the operating system.

Sony have just confirmed to me that theyre absolutely disgusting in their customer service skills, I asked again through social media this morning where the update is or when we can expect it only to be ignored
Let's face it 2015 is over and Sony see nothing better than using excuses and forum moderators as a mouthpiece or face for the customers to have a go at and to be honest I feel for @Anonymous as there seems to be a vast lack of information and interest from Sony
We were promised so much with these Android TV sets and so little has been delivered

Yes I have to say I bought my TV based on years of past experience with Sony models and their fine reputation, I'm afraid I feel badly let down in having spent a lot of money on a TV that is just OK as long as I use it's basic features only.

Still nothing. Can't believe that customers of a top of the range TV are being treated like this. Purchased with a view of watching Sky Q UHD and we end up with a TV which is not fit for purchase. If there is no update today the issue will be raised with John Lewis, the press and social media. The final clock is now ticking towards October 1st.
