KDL-55W755C
Hi,
I have an issue with a KDL-55W755c.
I have had the TV for about 6 months and recently, when I turn the TV from standby after say 8 hours the sound is very low.
If I fully power the TV down, so hold the power button down on the remote until it shutsdown, the sound comes back to normal.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Rich

Hi there
Are you using the TVs internal speakers or an external audio device like a sound bar? What happens if you press the volume button on the remote control? Has this always been the case or is it a relatively a new problem?
Cheers

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I am using the internal speakers.
If I press the volume button, the volume does go up, but I have to increase the volume level to about 2x what I usually set it to.
This has only just started happening in the past week, not noticed this before.
When I do a 'hard' reset, (hold down the power button on the remote until it restarts with the SONY / Android and spinning red/gree/blue/yellow balls) then when the TV comes back on, the volume is too loud and I have to turn it back down to my usual setting.
So, resetting seems to fix it, but when it's powered off in standby for sometime, and turned back on, the volume is low again and I have to do the hard reset.

Hi there
I understand now
I think the first two steps to begin with are:
- Please ensure you are on the latest firmware. See HERE
- Once updated, or if you already have this update installed, can you please do a factory reset. I have seen it fix many weird and unusual problems. See HERE
See if this helps.
Cheers

Can you check this:

I don't know if your tv set has the feature Advanced Auto Volume.
Also see this article:

To save confusion, that support doc is for the 2011 EX720 TV, so may not be applicable?

Hi Quinnicus,
I did a hard/factory reset and that 'seems' to have fixed it!
I'll report back if it's persisstent.
Is there a method to reset all settings? All that seemed to have changed was the channels, all other settings and apps remained the same.
Many thanks for your help!

Hi there
Glad that it appears to work.
In regards to your question, did you follow this guide? As this should reset everything.
