KD-49XH9505 ARC problems

Hi,

 

I purchased a KD-49XH9505 a week ago and had it connected to my Sonos Beam via ARC with the TV on the desktop stand. All seemed to be working properly. 

Yesterday I fitted the TV to a wall bracket and now cannot get the TV to recognise the Beam. I’m using the same cable in the same port. I’ve tried adjusting the settings within Bravia Sync, I’ve turned off both appliances at the wall and left for 5 minutes and then turned back on and I’ve also reset the TV to factory settings. It recognises that something is connected on the HDMI port (3) but not that it’s an audio system. When I select audio system it then doesn’t play any sound. 

It works via optical cable but I then can’t control the volume on the Beam. Any help would be appreciated.

Does this happen on the latest software version for you?

I’m on v6.5042 so I wonder whether that update has introduced this?

I don't think so, I've seen similar issues with previous software versions.

 

This release was supposed to fix some issues, but Sony has also confirmed that they're working on further updates, so it's just a matter of waiting at this point.
