ITV hub probs with brand new tv
Just purchased a brand new Sony KD55XG8796BU and has problems with the itv hub not playing past the ads - tried all the suggestions I could find, clearing cache etc to no avail so decided to factory reset. I can now watch all the channels except itv, when I choose that channel on the hub it tells me that it doesn’t recognise my location and I need to enter my postcode - I do this and it says recognised but still won’t work. Any suggestions before I send the thing back and get another brand?

It might be best to contact the point of sale if it was a recent purchase.

Gave up using ITV hub on my KD55af9 and use other devices now. Good luck in finding a solution!!!

Find initial setup in the Tv menu. Rerun it, skip tv tuning, and accept all sony and youview terms and conditions.
Note this is not a factory reset - only takes a minute. Itv should then play past the ads
