FVP error messages -HELP!!!

New Bravia KD-32W800 connected to wi-fi only.

Bought Tuesday & have had to factory reset it three times due to error codes FVP-300, FVP-07-006.

I do not use Freeview. There is no aerial/satellite/cable connection. I am slowly losing the will to live with this TV!!!

Can anyone tell me a fix for this (in plain English please, not tech-savvy)??

Hi @Walshy66  In plain English, take it back to the Retailer.

Those are Freeview Play error codes.

What is it that you are trying to do when you get those errors? Is it to use the provided Players?

In which case you are using Freeview Play, as this is what provides them. When next setting it up again (!), be sure to accept the FreeView Play T&Cs; don’t skip them, thinking they don’t apply to you because you aren’t using aerial channels; they do.

Thanks, will give it a go!

Managing to get ITV-X etc using the yellow button on the Freeview Play thing at the minute 👍

@Walshy66, do they show on all the TV content ?

Can only get TV on apps via the Freeview play button. No channels when scanned as only have option for antenna, cable or satellite.

If you want something that will give you channels when scanned in your circumstances, you need to buy one of the new Freely TVs, which do provide IP channels.

But Sony don’t offer one, there’s no Freely player device as yet, and it doesn’t look like Freely is going to be a retrofit option 😢

Yep, was hoping Freely would be available as retrofit 🙄 Sorted for now anyway, as least I know how to bypass the 'scan for channels' thing 👍
