Thanks for the help. The software is indeed up to date but late last night I found out what the problem was. I use the freest tuner because my normal TV aerial signal is not strong. I discovered that the UK TV apps were hiding under the normal TV tuner option and not under the sat tv option I use for the freest channels nor could they be found in the app store. I guess this makes it a bit more time consuming between switching source options but I will live with it... From this point of view, the LG software seems to be slightly easier to use.
