Battery grip fit

How does the battery grip fit the Alpha a77 and what happens to the existing battery cover

Hi ladyarch

It screws into the tripod mount on the bottom of the camera using an integrated knurled knob. Fits very solidly, feels very much part of the camera once in place.

There's a slot inside the battery grip body that the opened A77's battery cover sits in.
