WhatsApp video call

When video calling it's incredibly blurry making it look like to have a filter on my face kinor some kind of skin smoothening effect (to a very severe degree) I can barely make out my facial features  

What can I do about this? It's very upsetting when I'm trying to speak to family abroad.

No issues with it!

@Terrinotts  sounds silly, but you could try cleaning the front facing camera in order to make sure it's not just a dirt blurring out the contents of the viewfinder. other than that your best bet would be to contact Whatsapp support, as Sony can't really do anything about an app that isn't being developed by them.

It Is not only whatsapp, ant other social video call app does the same bug

There's oes a video icon in the top of the app

I haven't found this to be the case Google duo works fine
