Best way to connect Xperia 5ii to my hifi
Hi, I hope you can help clarify things for me... I'm new to this.
what's the best, i.e. Highest audio quality, way of connecting my new Xperia 5ii to my hifi?
I want to stream hi res MQA files from the TIDAL service. I can use Bluetooth but my gut says that a cable is better ...
Do I use the headphone jack to an analogue input, or can I go from the usb to a digital input?
Any help and comment much appreciated. Stay well

You can play using the hi res, feature regardless if it's through a wireless connection or not, but the headsets you'd use must be compatible.

Thanks for the reply. I was really looking for advice for the best sound; wired or wireless. if wired then just using the headphone jack or is the usb port a better idea? I'd like to bypass the phone's DAC to use my Amp .I'll just start experimenting but some pointers would be great

Well wired headphones would definitely give you better sound quality than wireless, it of course depends on the quality of the headphones itself and the output ratio and the emitter of the device by which signals are being transmitted.(the phone) The wired can support up to triple the kbps, than wireless ones do.
