Xperia Z3 with Dualshock 3

Is Xperia Z3 working with dualshock 3, or only with dualshock 4?

I havn't had time to try it out, but I am pretty sure its only a ps4 controller.

Also the remote play app specifically says dualshock 4.

I am checking the app on my Z3v, but I dont' think remote play will change at all depending upon the phone model

But Z3 is like a new gen of Sony Smartphones, which could be used with dualshock 3, so it would be fairly dat Z3 is supporting both dualshocks...

My guess is that only the dualshock 4 is the only one supported since it has specific buttons for the PS4 and you would lose functionality if you used a dualshock 3.

I think I remeber hearing that the DS4 is digital imput while DS3 is analoge, so that might make a difference as well. (don't quote me on that though)

I just got home and tried it out, It will only let you pair the dualshock 4

Can anyone help me to pair my dualshock 3 controller to my phone. I have the cable to conect them and i do every step of the tutorials and finally they "synchronize" but when i unplug the cable, they lose connection

You have to use a cable with the DS3 not with the DS4
