Hi, I got a question for my first android phone, Xperia Z.
I noticed the other day that my ringsignal-mute wont work when the headset is plugged in, even if the mute-icon is showing on statusbar. I haven't noticed it before.
At home I always got my phone fitted in the stationary charger and I have to unplug the MH-EX300AP-headset to mute my ringsignal when I need silence.
I haven't found any similar problem in the forums yet.
Or is it a settings issue?
Android version 4.2.2
System version 10.31.A.0.244

When you have the phone on mute and have a headset plugged in the ringtone will still ring in the headset but not in the phone.
Check if something set in smart connect while headset pluged in !
If nothing Do A Repair using SUS...
Smartconnect disabled but,
I did a a SUS repair and got a more responsive phone, thanks for the hint.
Ok, I noticed after my SUS repair my phone still was ringing when headset is plugged in. It must have been the headset speakers that woke me up then.
If I want to listen to audiobooks to get asleep I will get waken by the phone ringing when I dont want it...
Isn't there a way to fix a ringsignal mute on the headset aswell?
Not a way I'm aware of. But you can change the ringtone to none. Go to settings > sound > phone ringtone > none (at the top). Otherwise it might be possible to mute the ringtone in the headset using a 3rd party app.
