Xperia Z is not capable for new Google Map V7.0.1 ??

My current is map V6.14.4. Wondering why my Xperia Z cannot be updated to the new V7.0.1? As details from Google said   " You'll need a device running Android 4.0.3+. Devices running 4.0.2 and below can still use Google Maps for mobile 6.14.4. However, these devices typically don’t have many of the hardware capabilities and APIs needed for the new Google Maps. "

No more map update for my phone, C6602, Thailand. Latest for mine is V6.14.4. Eventhough, I have resetted the phone. It is still V6.14.4. I found that many cheaper phones can run V7.1.0. Thanks for your answer anyway.

you have to wait for Google to release the update in your country, I live in the US and just today I got the update, and we (here in the US) are supposed to get google apps updates first just wait or sideload the update.
