Transfer of photo to SD card interrupted

Hi,

I've read the other posts covering the same type of problems. I've rather standard micro SD card for my z2, when 75% threshold is reached it suggests moving stuff away from the phone. Videos and music is transferable but not photos, it quits immidiate with message that transfer is interrupted and that I should check for any data.

What causes this? I don't think its a problem related to the micro SD card but possibly to some photo? I just don't want to delete every photo on my device to test my thesis. Any thoughts how to proceed?

I'm impatient so I decided to find out myself what the cause was. In the folder storage/sdcard0/DCIM/Camera there was one picture. This stood out as I've taken more than 700 pictures and if this was the folder pictures is supposed to be in there would have been lots more files there.

Using Astro file manager I moved that picture to another location and once more tried to transfer. This time succesful. Couldn't see any problem with the picture itself, possibly a permissions issue?

Anyway this solves the case, hope any one else finds this helpful!

IT W  O  R  K  E  D !!!!!!!  IT WWWWWOOOOOORRRRKED!!!!!! THANK YOU so much!! I changed the SD Card, tried deleting apps, EVERYTHING! I thought it was all the SONY "BLOATWARE" , which I can't delete, but I DON't GIVE A F*** about movie stars or video games! If SONY would make free apps I could actually use it would be a start!

It worked for me too. Somehow that image was containing characters that are not allowed like a colon.

I may be that one who posted a thread having this problem last year. the only solution I got was to perform a repair. That sucked as I have to reinstall everything. Thank you very much for this @MrSandberg. Kudos much to you.

For the information of everybody, that image was taken by the hangouts app.

Would doing a factory reset help? Did anyone tried it? I'm facing similiar issues, but I can't find only 1 picture in the location you mentioned. I see all the pics, and sometimes my Album app messes up due to the Sd card. Thank u Slightly_smiling_Face

Yes, doing a factory reset does help. but its too much of a hassle when you can just remove that one image on the location mentioned on the solution.. The SD card problem is another story.

Hi! But thet thing is I don't have that issue that I can only see one image.. I can see all of my photos, but the SD card was interrupted everytime while transferring data and when I tried to open my album there came a not saying memory is unmounted and I couldn't access my Album. Bu I cleared the Album app's data and force stopped it, unmounted SD card and put it back again and it works fine again.. So if this kind of issue reoccurs I guess I'll have to do a factory reset. Thanks btw Slightly_smiling_Face

It would most likely be a photo with a color ( : ) in the file name of the image.
