Hi,
I have very strange problem with BT headset. My Z3 is SO-01G Official Unlocked Docomo model. I have had MiPow Voxtube 500 BT headset which its BT version is 4.0 LE. That headset was used with Nexus 5 (Android 5.1.1) without any problems and the battery last almost a week for stanby with few minute talking time a day. However, after got Z3 with Android 4.4.4 on it, pairing with Voxtube was no problem. Then the battery has run down within 4-5 hours of stanby. I have tested it for 3 to 4 times, it come down that there must be something worng with headset battery.
So, I got it claim with MiPow representative (it is only few months old). Surprisingly, MiPow representative reported all test suggested no problem for stanby time with their phones either iPhone 5 or Sumsung Galaxy S5. Then I took it back recharged then its performance is very short standby time same as before. So, I have tested it with my iPad Mini 3 and its performance back to normal standby time.
Thus, this can be concluded to only problem is with Z3. But again when paring with other BT headset Jabra Tag2, its stanby time is in normal range (4-5 days). Then what is going on? I am very confusing. Do I have to give up on MiPow?
Thank you for your time,

Just upgrade to lolipop 5.0.2 and hope this will help me on this issue.

HI I'm not too sure on this.
But it sounds like the bluetooth is always active thats one of the reason that the battery may drain that quick.
2nd is the battery it self is really having problems which is a hardware issue already.
Why not sent the bluetooth to the service center to check it out so that you can clear your doubt.
Just my point of view here.
Hi,
I have done that. Sent it to MiPow repersentative and they have found no issue concerning battery performance.
I also found the same thing when paring with iPad. I think, it has to be something about connecting power. But consider the fact that both HS and phone have the same BT 4.0 LE specification.
Confusion continue........
