Hi.
Yesterday, after updating my Z3 onto Android Lollipop, I cannot use my phone's Style Cover Window SCR24's window for answering calls, disabling alarms etc. Touch window just doesn't function anymore. If and when will Sony repair this? Do I have to wait for a firmware update or is there something hidden in the settings/apps I can enable/disable myself?

Anyone else got this problem where it only half works? When answering a call it works fine but it does not adjust itself to be a smaller window when closing the front cover. Worried about detaching the phone from the case as per Olaf's suggestion because it is an adhesive that holds the phone and worried my case will not effectively stick to the phone again. Please advise
It really sticks back to the phone. I change my phone all the time. I also have a wallet case I use, sometimes I use that one, sometimes the SCR24. Really. no less sticky noticed.

I also have the exact same problem mentioned in this post. I've tried all the recommendations listed with no joy!
Is there a Sony representative that is aware of this issue? Had anyone highlighted this directly to Sony?
I'm getting really fustrated that obviously not enough testing was carried out before the role out of the new firmware.

Sorry but the issue is NOT solved. I had try 10 times the solution proposed by Olaf but no results.
Cover is detected and after I stick again the phone in the cover and close on the screen is the message - Style Cover is ended.
Sony do something!!!!!! I did not spend 40 euro for a useless cover.
I think I have figured it out.
The Style cover did not work for my Orange Poland branded Z3.
I tried to unbrand id and load the CE1 (generic Central Europe) firmware and now it is working without any problems.
Definitely something with branding having problems.

I also have the Sony Smart Cover SCR24 for my Xperia Z3.
Like many other people I am experiencing problems despite repeatedly connecting and NFC pairing the cover as detailed in the instructions and posts on the forum:
NFC pair
Accept OK
Download Xperia theme
Apply theme
Attach cover
"Unfortunately Style Cover has stopped"
Take off cover
Clear data in style cover app
Force stop style cover app
Restart phone
(back to beginning)
Of note, when the cover is closed and I receive a call, the smart function work properly, i.e. the contact image and answer slider reduces in size to fit the clear window.
However at all other times, when the cover is closed the smart functionality does not work, i.e. the smart widget does not work and the regular wallpaper appears through the window.
I am still able to double tap the screen to wake it up when the cover is attached.

We got some reports of this issue and it's something that we are investigating but i don't have any new information yet i'm afraid. If you have issues with the app force closing, please follow these threads:

Speaking of the adhesive, it's not an adhesive but a gel pad. You can wash it with water and when it dries it will be sticky like new. Mine became completely covered in dust particles and wouldn't stick anymore, but on Sony's website it actually tells you how to wash the cover (fresh water, remove all the dust, let it dry) and it will become sticky again.
That being said I don't have an issue with the cover other than the cover itself being of terrible quality and nearly useless in general and not worth the money.
Glad to say that a recent update to the Style Cover app fixed the problem. Thanks!
