Today I had to forcefully take my Xperia Z1 compact with the guarantee, because some problems.
I am in Croatia, Zagreb.
I want Sony to contact me directly since here is not sony officially but only authorized agents. So I can give you all the specific information (IMEI, etc).
Also would like ask for your comprehension because as a web developer my clients and my business depends mostly on my phone, I'm just asking for the Sony reliability as a client that believes in Sony enought to put an important part of my job in your hands, still trying to not get on nerves at the moment.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Sorry to hear about this problem, sadly the only way to reach Sony directly will be via your Local support, but seeing that your country is not listed I think you'll need to contact the nearest one. I doubt you'll find help about repairs here as this is mainly user-based forum.
They have to fix my problem, I will wait for an aswer here in Croatia.
If not I will contact even Sony in Japan.
I will not close this thread until I get a feedback that fix all my problems.
Thank you for your answer.
Have you contacted Agram servis (authorized local service center) in Zagreb?
What problems do you have with the mobile phone?
Thank you for your answer.
I contacted them. They also received my phone with the guarantee on 11 FEB 2016 they were polite and I have no complain with them until date.
The only problem that seems weird to me was all about the structure of the phone so it seems (for the experts eyes) to may not be totally flat, I never noticed this, or there is no way that I inflict it on the phone as the phone looks very pristine to me.
I totally believe they will have to fix all the problems under the guarantee.
Anyway I will wait them to contact me, and I will be updating this thread with all the happenings as soon as they occur.
So, your phone is bent (savijen - in Croatian)?
Take a look at this thread /t5/Xperia-Z1-Compact/Sony-Xperia-Z1-Compact-bent/td-p/782739
Is that your case?
The service center will probably have to change the frame of the phone. If you search for the frame price on ebay, it is not expensive, but they will have to disassemble the whole phone and reassemble it again, which is not trivial. This will probably cost you a new frame + their work (couple of hours) + everything they use to repair it (a special adhesive for the back cover etc.). Let's hope that the display is not damaged.
It will be difficult to prove that you didn't sit on it or put something on the top of the phone which resulted in the bent frame.
I hope they will repair your phone under warranty.
Good luck!
Well the main problem was (I guess) the battery, when the phone reached 60% or 70% just turn off, so the battery longs about two hours of use, now.
The display is fine, and so is the phone. About a bent... well, is such a little detail that I never noticed and still don't, so about sitting on the phone is just impossible since I have NEVER used a phone (this one or another) in my back pocket, besides this way of wearing phones is for women.
As I see it I have to prove anything, I'm just a client with a guarantee and with rights. So I am only expecting to get what I own.
The first step in seeking help is to describe your problem to the full extent.
"Big problem" and "some problems" could have been a broken motherboard or a cracked display, but not a battery problem.
The battery problem is easy to solve. The battery needs to be replaced. Many of us here experienced the same thing.
It is also possible that the battery has some kind of a bulge or a bump which lifted slightly the back cover of the phone. So the phone is not flat anymore.
As you can see from the similar messages from other people here on the forum, some local service centers repaired phones with the same problem for free under the warranty and some didn't.
So, keep us posted. Once again, good luck!
Thank you for your information
This thread seams to be quite accurate /t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/sudden-shut-down-battery-problem-factory-reset-and-SW-update/td-p/984836
If the problem is really bent is a logic fabric failure so they will have to give me a new phone. I see no way they can turn down my guarantee.
About "Big Problem" sadly it really is for me, I have to travel, need to keep in touch with my clients because I work alone, also I depend of apps that the phone I'm using do not support because it have gingerbread. I am stressed out big time and I think is understandable.
Also would be immoral to turn down a guarantee because none of this is my fault as a user, or client. In that case I would write to sony and indeed would take it to tribunals because is a matter of principles and damages.
Anyway all this if the supposed scenery becomes a reality, let's wait and see what happens I still have faith in Sony.
My deepest appretiation to you my friend, you have been a lot of help and as I said I will keep this thread very alive.
Thank you again!
My problem was fixed, they change the battery and the back cover. Tomorrow I will go search the cellular phone.
Agram servis did the job, I have no complains, They were very quick and easy to deal with, so I congratulate the team because they deserve it and so does Sony.
