When watching movies, the occasional screen at the bottom of the screen will suddenly flash, which is a software problem? (Set the ultra-realistic display mode, image enhancement)
The thing is it doesnt always happen so its very hard to replicate the issue. Its not conistent therefore I cannot prove to the store its faulty.
Very tricky situation!
Hi everyone,
Thank you all for highlighting this. I received information today that this will be fixed in a later software version.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this causes until then.
So it is a software issue, I was about to start a claim for replacement. At first I thought it was the app I was using but all video playback apps I used even the stock video app show a white flash every few seconds during playback right at the corner under the notification light.
Still getting this, and its becoming more frequent.
Anyone else manage to find a fix or is it hardware related?

It's software and the devs have found the issue and are fixing in a upcoming firmware update.
When playing any video on the xperia xz premium (in landscape mode) e/g: YouTube, video app or WhatsApp video, there is a small flash that occurs at the bottom left hand side of the phone? It occurs randomly, flashes for about 0.5secs. Does not affect the video playback or quality. But it is annoying as it catches the corner of your eye when viewing.
Anyone else experiencing this?
i get a flash in the left bottom corner a white fuzzy verticle block looking thing. Ive only gotten it when watching netflix.
Iv have this problem to with my phone took it back to the Vodafone shop was just over the 28 days by 2 days so they would not replace it they sent it for repair that was yesterday I was very annoyed it will take 10 days they said gave me a phone on loan
I have the issue as well, I wonder what is the cause. It seems stupid that it is flashing itself in a very specific way and only when watching videos.
Any clues on the reason?
I doubt anh other manufacturer have had this odd issue.
