So i bought my Xperia XZ premium less than 3 weeks ago. I was recording and taking pictures when my phone was about to die. Eventually it died and when i got back to my room i tried charging it and it wouldnt charge. I tried plugging it in different outlets and letting it charge all night for two nights straight but i dont know if its not charging or it just doesnt turn on. Anyways, it never turned back on. Pretty dissappointed this happened since im a huge Xperia fan and i was very excited about this phone.
Well, that is sad to hear but we are always reminded not to let any cell phone battery drain completely until it is empty. This is not good for the life of the battery and it could be that you have damaged the battery or even ruined it.
Hi @Kens14, Welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear about this
Make sure you try all the troubleshooting steps here: http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaxzpremium/faq/i-cannot-power-on-my-device/
If you are having no luck then I recommend you get in touch with your retailer or Local support team.
I understand that but taking into consideration that the Xperia XZ has an octacore processor and was a brand new phone, I highly doubt I ruined it. On top of that, Sony should have anticipated that the phone would die sometimes or the battery would drain completely. It happens all the time, why should this even be an issue in the first place. So they put an octacore processor in this phone but a mediocre battery that can't even handle being drained and charged afterwards?
That won't be the case, follow the steps posted above by @CameronT and I'm sure it will be sorted.
