Wired internet connection

Is it possible to have a wired connection(via ethernet) to my phone instead of a internet signal over wifi? 

I have a ethernet to usb adaptor plus a USB c to a adaptor and I cannot get a wired signal at all

Surely this must be possible, thanks

Hi @Levisanchez121, welcome to the community.

Based on the information I have available to me, the Xperia XZ Premium supports USB Host for HID, USB hub, USB mass storage and Audio, but not USB Ethernet.

Why would it not support usb ethernet?

I've paid a premium for this phone and lots of other devices support this but this phone doesn't. 

Any future update to support this as other phones have had this function for a while?

It should have it.

I am not sure why, sorry. I don't have any information about future updates. I don't know if it is a software or hardware based function.
