Is running the screen in native 4K something that we might get in a software update?

I love the phone so far and I'm big fan of Sony. The phone looks and performs well. My only gripe is the resolution. Watching and reading some reviews I was under the impression that it would run in 4K resolution all the time and not just when playing 4K video files and such. I see there's an option to make it run in 4K all the time, but with some bugs and crashes. Is this something that might get added in a software update? It's a shame that such a beautiful screen uses 1080p most of the time.

apparently, the phone uses 4K mode exactly per Google guidelines. you can find a good discussion with links and short explanation in this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/6qdagv/theres_a_lot_of_misinformation_in_circulation/

since Sony tends to stay pretty close to stock Android features and guidelines most of the time in order to provide fast software updates, I don't think they're going to change it.
