from what I see, Sony Contacts app doesn't have any group settings. you can try this app from Google, it allows you to create labels and assign contacts to them, as well as sort contacts by labels. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.contacts

I have used this for many years now and it is great! It will do everything you need plus block spam calls.

Hi @Taylanak07, welcome to the community.

You may have noticed that the Groups tab in the Contacts app has been removed in Android™ Nougat 7.0. You cannot create and send group messages (text or MMS) or email messages by selecting a group. Any groups you have in the Contacts app are not accessible from the Messaging or Email apps.

However, you can still access group data when editing a contact, to create a new group or to edit members of a group. All previously registered group data has been kept and you can still select which groups to show in the Contacts list. In effect, you can only use group data for filtering purposes within the Contacts app itself.

Note! From Android 7.0 and higher you can only create new groups if you already have at least one group since before.

To create a new group
  1. From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
  2. Tap Contacts, then select a contact.
  3. Tap the edit icon > More fields.
  4. Tap the group field > Create new group.
  5. Type the name of the group, then tap OK > Save.
To select which groups to show in Contacts list
  1. From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
  2. Tap Contacts, then select a contact.
  3. Tap the edit icon > More fields.
  4. Tap the group field, then mark or unmark a group list.
  5. Tap the back icon, then tap Save.
