BT WiFi App

Am I correct? 

This App doesn't support Sony Experia Premium ZX because of latest Android 8.0 update being non compatible

Therefore as  BT x Sony customer denied WiFi access away from home broadband x network broadband a sham of a situation. Surely 2 mega company should fix!

It's the dedicated BT WiFi app. Via Google Store 

Yes BT care contacted no response 

Sony blames BT

App works with family other phones eg IPhone and Samsung 

Seems because Sony recently upgraded to new Android Nougat, 8.0 it's caused issues just wanted to know if anyone else experiencing similar frustration

if it's a third party app, it is up to the app developer to address any compatibility issues, not Sony.

@181257 @uliwooly i had exactly the same issue quite a while ago with my Z5, did post on the forum regarding it....like you contacted BT here in the UK but as much help as a chocolate teapot.

So not sure if it works on other manufacturers phones using whatever android software they are running but i seriously think it is BT is at fault if the way they run their Broadband/Phone system/network is an indication of their inadequacy

Yes.  I have a Moto phone running 8.0 and the BT WiFi-App does not work.  It is fine on a Huawei phone running Android 7.
