August security patch

Is high ram usage issue fixed?

And what about the battery drain as well as heating issues (especially in the camera app)

Please post ur thoughts and impression on the update so that others(like me)  can see if it's worth it to move on from Marshmallow

Thanks

Just updated ... will take about a day to review the update... Will give my impressions by tomorrow

Update :

1) Phone idle battery drain still present

2) Ram management improved

3) Battery seem almost same need to observe more

4) No such lags as such

5) device does heat up still maybe 1 or 2 C less now

PS :- Feels like a good update over 1 day of usage... Will update again soon

Only if Sony gave us a changelog !! We wouldn't have questions & threads like these.

I really love One+ for this, they give quite detailed changelogs.

My XZ is waiting for changelogs 😕

For me, the problem is solved. Stability is back, and match with Android 6.

Received a 300 MB update today for my Xperia-XZ DS F8332.

BUILD updated to 41.2.A.7.53, includes August 1st Security updates.

Did they fix the RAM hog and black screen?

Unfortunately, Sony does not include changelogs with their updates, and the only thing we are sure about at the moment is the August security patch. You'll need to test or wait for other users to report their findings.

It's normal to have excessive battery drain for a while after updating your phone, a lot of background processes and optimization should be happening. It will settle with time.
