Okay, look, after going through the phone line and then the live chat, I'd like not to be referred to them (as they're unhelpful as all holy ) nor would I like to be told to try something I've already tried (and, yes, I've tried whatever it is you're looking to suggest) .
Now, what happened was that some of my MP3s have gone or they were moved, either way, I didn't do it nor could I turn them up when I searched through the files. To further emphasize how upset I am and how unusual this is, I should point out that I was listening to said MP3s earlier today and it was business as usual. Please make a note that it was only MP3s.
Adding to this, as it it's been a pain in when I edit the music info in said Music app, for some reason, it keeps saving the artist/albums as two different entries, instead of altogether (as the songs have the same artists/albums). I've tried a lot to rectify that but I'd like to NOT do that at all and just save them like normal. Tying into point above about the vanishing MP3s, the Music app doesn't seem to be picking up on some of said MP3s or music folders at all.
I'd like a solution and an explanation.

Well, that makes it very simple, no need to ask then ...
Common decency when asking a question, especially if it is not the first time one is on the Internet or visit a forum, no matter where, is to mention if one has tried anything and what the result was. To simply state "I've tried everything" isn't particularly enlightening, or after a reply "I've tried that". Why then not mentioning it?
You don't even mention what software was playing those MP3s; Sony's? Version? OS, version? Etc.
(I can understand if someone is upset from bad experiences of support. One must also be seriously ticked off if one sets the subject, in a user support forum, to "A problem", since that is, in line with stating "I've tried everything", not very helpful.)
It's an Xperia Xa2 and the software version is 9 (if I knew these problems were to happen, I'd have not updated but it's not like they gave me a choice, as you can't opt out of those).
I think anyone would expect it to be an Xperia XA2, since you're posting in the XA2 sub forum ... (that said, there are som different models, dual-SIM H4113, single-SIM etc.). Many people have now updated their XA2s to Android 9 (Pie), but not everyone. So that doesn't come as a surprise either. (I'm not running Android 9 on my XA2, it's still on 8; I've disabled automatic updates.)
Given the lack of information one must assume you were using Sony's app (of some version) to play those MP3 files. You don't mention where the files were stored when you played them, internal memory, micro-SD card or if it was Google Drive etc.
More or less every user data on a phone should be backed up to a computer, in some way.
Before we continue how do disable those phone software updates?
In terms of where those files were stored, some were on the internal storage, while the rest were on the SD card. The files on the SD card are unaffected but a good many of my MP3 files are gone and I'm still wondering how/why it happened.
I think I should point out that I've had Xperias (the waterproof model from 2015 and the E5) before and the random vanishing of MP3 files didn't happen with them, software updates/otherwise.
