Hi i have upgraded my

VPCCB2S1E/W

to windows 8 and tried to install the camera driver for windows 8 but driver is not getting install with message  "The firm updated is not required"  laptop camera is still dead ,help required urgently .

There is no new driver for Windows 8 - the camera uses a generic Windows USB Driver.

Did you use the Sony Windows 8 Upgrade kit?  Sony do support your model.  This should install the correct software automatically.

However, there seems to be a lot of camera problems following the installation of Windows 8.  We have reported this to Sony but have not received an answer.
