Hi,
I hope somebody can help me here.
I have the SONY (Blu-Ray) VGX-XL302 Meda Player connected va HDMI to a PIONEER PLASMA PDP-LX5080D.
So far I have been unable to get a workng picture. The Pioneer reports no signal being received. The settings appear to be correct on the Pioneer and I have the same problem when using a Samsung LCD TV. So for this reason I am assumng the Sony is at fault.
I have installed the latest video drivers into the Sony along with the HDMI 1.3 update.
The video settings on the Sony, I am assuming, must be the problem.
So does anybody here know the correct video settings to use to connect this Sony Media Player to a Plasma screen?
Thank you in advance!!!

Hi, I have a XL302 connected to a Sony 40D3000 via HDMI.
I assume as you have installed an update that you have another display as well, do you get a picture on the TV when in Media Centre on your Pioneer?
This is a wild guess but on the NVidea control panel on the TV section there is an option to change the colour type, mine uses RGB but there are two other options, I cannot remember what they are as I am not at home, worth a try
Hi Iain,
I had no end of audio and video problems when connecting my XL301 to a Sony Bravia via HDMI.
I switched to component output and voila - problem solved. Might be worth a try if your TV supports it.
