VGN-NS20E Won't wake from sleep/hibernate (Win7 x86)

Last night I closed the lid of my laptop putting it into sleep/hibernate (I'm not sure which is which, lol.) it was also not plugged in.

This morning I opened my laptop and pressed the power button once, as per usual to resume use.

I've got no screen activity, no HDD sounds or light, the ODD won't even eject, however I have a power light on. Pressing the power button lights the battery light up - but still no joy. Can't seem to power off either, holding down the power button just keeps the battery light on while it's held in.

Tried disconnecting the battery and running just from external power, no result. Left the battery out for a half an hour then reinserting - no change. Reseated the RAM - no change.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Just tried a different HDD, still the same result. Also has been left on for something in the region of 18 hours now, and the battery still hasn't seemed to have died (Power light still on.)

Did you manage to fix your problem?

I have same problem with my VGN-FW21

I haven't. It's still sat here trying to to run the battery dry to see if that helps.
