Sound issue with desktop

Hi All,New to forum,looks vgood so far.
Please can anyone help?
My Vaio desktop PCV F1M has no volume on the TV.
Also the sound on other applications is seems to be very low.
I have tried making adjustments to Max via the control panel etc but with no success.
