Hi There,
Before updating to windows vista I backed up my sonicstage library on an external harddrive, then went back to XP for some reasons... Then I put my sonicstage library back on my laptop but everytime I want to listen a track I get this message:
Restore Content
The music file for the track was not found.
Specify the music file to restore track playback.
Remove from my library
or
Specify a location of the music file
To be able to listen any track I have to plug in my external drive.
Kind regards.
hi lionelm.
i had a similar problem a while ago, and it was because vista and xp store the sonicstage music files in different places.
i don't have my laptop in front of me, but i recall that in vista the music files are in a hidden 'program data' directory in root of c:, whereas xp stores them in 'program files/sonicstage/packages', or something like that.
anyway, fix should be easy if you find your music files on the hdd, and then go into sonicstage options and somewhere down the list you can specify the location of music library files, point it to the right place and you'll be back in business.
hope this helps.
