After using my VGF-AP1 for a few weeks, I've started thinking about the possibilities of re-skinning the GUI and altering things like the font size (to allow more lines of text on the display).
Does anyone know if this is possible?
Has anyone tried?
I've had a look around the internal os files (VAIO_System) but can't find any obvious sign of graphical GUI elements to play with. Are they embedded into the player's rom?
Any help would be much appreciated:smileyconfused:
nope, i would be very surprised if you manage to figure this out - it's defiantely not forseen - but if you find a way let us know

Hallo. I think more lines doesn`t work, because the lines are the five lines of the grid sense. There are 5 lines on the grid sense and 5 lines in the display. I´m not a producer of the vaio, but I´m sure it is like this.

Ok thankyou guys for your comments.
I had a feeling this may be possible - I thought the gui could be skinned in a similar way to my P900 (using an external tool to create some sort of theme pack, then upload it to the player)
Whilst that now seems unlikely, something else has peaked my curiosity...
There is a firmware upgrade option in the menu, so there definately is a way to change the way the player operates (even on a basic level).
I think we'll have to wait until Vaio release a firmware update, then have a look at how that works...
Thanks again
