DDR-SDRAM PC 3200 (400MHz)

here is a Link to VaioLink.
I think the second slot is empty. Thats easy to upgrade.
Buy the same RAM, that was preinstalled on your VAIO.

use Everest Home Edition for this.

Start Everest Home Edition and click:

1. motherbord
2. SPD

There you can see the preinstalled RAM. And how many RAM modules are installed.

If you see only onle RAM module, buy the same and install this in the second slot. Look at my VAIO-Link.

thanks for your help.
i found this site which sell the right one i think

http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=9233&ft=m&st=3

the 512mb on this page should be ok, shouldn't it? ill just follow the directions on that link you gave and me put it in my second slot and that should be fine.

Do you used Everest Home Edition ?

Here is a little correction from me.

1. start Everest H E
2. click Computer
3. click DMI
4. Memory Devices

Here you can see the Number of your RAM modules (I think only one)
I have 2 (SODIMM 1 and SODIMM 2) but I have 2 RAM modules in my Labtop.

Then go to "Motherboard, SPD"

Look at module name. I have, Samsung M4 70L3224DT0-CB0.
You have a other RAM module.

You can see the "Memory Speed".............. I have PC2100 (133MHz)
The Module Voltage.......................................I have SSTL 2,5

And you can see the Memory timings.........I have 2,5-3-3-6

I have checked this specs, they are correct.(There is a sticker on the RAM modul)

When you buy a other RAM, and not the preinstalled RAM on your Computer, this specs must be the same.

(and you can see a Link to the manufacturer) look under "Product Information"

in reply to asking what i think about the v2s. i think its great. its the best 'pc' ive seen to use for listening to music, watching dvds and tv. the graphics for games are good too. all round i think it is brilliant but it all depends on what you would use it for

Î have found a sideDATA sheet of your RAM on the Infinion (PDF-file)

here is the Link to other RAM-modules. Where to buy?

You need a RAM like this
one. But excuse, this is a german side (alternate.de)

I would use an Online store in my nation (Germany or for others United Kingdom, USA,etc.).

But before you buy the RAM, look in to your Computer. Is it real this RAM or may be a other? Normally, you can find the name of the manufacturer on the RAM.
