PCG-K315Z External TV

Can connect an external TV to my Vaio laptop no problem, but the resolution ain't right. The display on the TV displays only part of the screen, and when I move the mouse to the left or right, it shows the rest.

Is there anyway to set a lower resolution just for the TV, without having it also effect the Laptop display?

I don't know.

1. make a rightclick on the desktop and click Characteristics(sorry I have german WinXP)
2. click configuration and click extended

3. click indicate(don't know whether that is the correct translation)
4. click on your TV and try there to change the resolution.

But I think that does not go.

No, that doesn't work... when you select the TV, there is no option to change it's resolution.

Any other suggestions, anyone?

Sorry Stupotty, but I think that doesn't function.

You can configure different resolutions between the TFT-display and the second standard monitor.

For Video output I would say, you must reduce the TFT-resolution.

Hi Stu

If you right click on the desktop to get into the properties then click 'Settings' you should be able to switch to your new monitor (the TV) there. You should then be able to change the screen resolution by dragging the slider.

I'm fairly sure you'll have done that already and apologies if you have. But that's how I got mine to work:smileygrin:
