No sound at all from speakers!

Hi All,

Just bought a VAIO VPCEB3F4E and there is no sound coming from the speakers at all. Have looked through past questions and tried testing speakrs and looking at device manager as suggested but everything seems to be in working order?!

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!!

Hi, I have the exact same problem, not sure what's going on.

Have you checked that Speaker/HP is set as the default playback device?

You can access the various options by either right clicking the speaker icon in the system tray and selecting 'Playback Devices' or via Control Panel > Sounds > Playback tab.

The default device will have a green tick.

Yeah everything seems to be as it should and the speaker is set as the default playback device.

Yep, I have the exact same model and the exact same problem.

Speakers suddenly stopped working after a few weeks, computer says nothing is wrong.

None of the fixes I've found online seem to work.

Anybody find anything out about this yet?
