Matshita UJ-820D optical drive

I can¿t burn to cd-r¿s any more I¿m getting a power calibration error form nero 6.6.0.6, burn failed from musicmatch, and the same kind of errors from drag¿n drop cd and other burning software. I have tried many different makes of media from cheap white label to Sony¿s top quality ones .I have also clean the lens on the drive. My drive is an Matshita UJ-820D, it can still burn data dvd¿s and read all discs. Does anyone know where I can download the driver or firmware or anything for this drive so I can try that or know of any other solution

This is more likely to be a hardware problem. My advice would be to send it into VAIO-Link for a repair.

Yep. In fact it's sadly no longer the only major piece of hardware in my computer that always worked properly. Sigh......
